Developmental changes in animals refer to the changes in form, structure, and ability that an animal undergoes as it matures. It is not just about getting bigger, but also changing in appearance and becoming more complex. For example, a caterpillar changes into a butterfly, and a tadpole changes into a frog.
Examples of Growth and Developmental Changes in Animals
- A human baby grows into a child, then an adolescent, and finally an adult.
- A chick hatches from an egg and grows into a full-grown chicken (hen or rooster).
