Ball games are sports or games where a ball is the main thing used. The goal is usually to get points by moving the ball to a certain place or goal.

Classification and Basic Skills

Ball games may be team games, such as football, basketball, volleyball and handball, or individual and pair games, such as tennis and table tennis. Different games use skills such as throwing, catching, kicking, bouncing, passing, striking and controlling a ball.

Players must learn the rules of the particular game; badminton is played with a shuttlecock rather than a ball.
