What is Football?

Football is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players each.The goal is to score by getting the ball into the opposing team’s goal.

Skills in Football

Football involves various skills that players use to control the ball, coordinate with teammates, and achieve the objective of scoring. These include:

Passing: Moving the ball to a teammate.
Dribbling: Controlling the ball while moving.
Shooting: Kicking or heading the ball towards the goal.
Defending: Preventing the opponent from scoring.
Goalkeeping: Protecting the goal area.
Tackling: Dispossessing an opponent of the ball.
Heading: Using the head to control or direct the ball.

Football Skills, Rules and Safety

Football is a team ball game in which players mainly use the feet to pass, control and shoot the ball. Basic skills include dribbling, passing with the inside of the foot, receiving, shooting, heading only when age-appropriate and goalkeeping.

Players obey boundaries, restart rules and the referee, avoid dangerous tackles and show fair play. Warm up, use a clear surface and suitable footwear, drink water and stop after a head impact or other injury.
