Teacher Guide for Using This Lesson Plan
Before the lesson, ensure you have access to clear audio recitations of Suratul Tariq, Suratul Buruj, and Suratul Inshiqaq. Prepare Qur’anic text charts or write the Surahs clearly on the board beforehand. Start by engaging students with a brief review to connect with prior learning. During the memorisation steps (Steps 2, 4, 6), break down each Surah into very small, manageable verse or phrase units. Recite slowly and clearly, allowing ample time for students to repeat after you, both individually and in chorus. Pay close attention to their pronunciation and correct any Tajwid errors immediately and gently. When guiding writing (Steps 3, 5, 6), demonstrate correct letter formation and diacritics. Circulate around the classroom to monitor students’ progress and provide individual assistance. Encourage peer-to-peer recitation practice. Students should copy the Board Summary, including the Arabic text of the Surahs, during Step 8. For weaker learners, focus on achieving memorisation and writing of at least the first few verses of each Surah. For stronger learners, challenge them to perfect their Tajwid or explore the meanings of the verses. Conclude the lesson by reinforcing the spiritual benefits of Qur’an memorisation and encouraging consistent practice.
