Arabic Text of Hadith No. 11

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: “مِنْ حُسْنِ إِسْلَامِ الْمَرْءِ تَرْكُهُ مَا لَا يَعْنِيهِ” حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ هَكَذَا، وَغَيْرُهُ.

Correct Reading and Pronunciation (Transliteration)

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Min husni Islaamil-mar-i tarkuhu maa laa ya’neehi.”

This Hadith is a good Hadith, related by At-Tirmidhi and others.

Translation of Selected Lines from Hadith No. 11

1. “مِنْ حُسْنِ إِسْلَامِ الْمَرْءِ” – “Part of the perfection of one’s Islam”
2. “تَرْكُهُ مَا لَا يَعْنِيهِ” – “is his leaving that which does not concern him.”

The full Hadith means: “On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: ‘Part of the perfection of one’s Islam is his leaving that which does not concern him.'”
