- Obtuse Angle: An angle that measures more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees. It is larger than a right angle.
Vertical and Horizontal Lines
A line is a straight path that extends in opposite directions without end.
The following are types of lines:
- Vertical Line: A line that goes straight up and down, like a wall or a standing pole.
- Horizontal Line: A line that goes straight across, from left to right, like the horizon or a flat ground.
Cardinal Points
Cardinal points are the four main directions on a compass. They help us to find our way around and locate places.
The four cardinal points are:
- North (N)
- South (S)
- East (E)
- West (W)
The sun rises in the East and sets in the West. If you face the rising sun, your right hand points South and your left hand points North.
