3. Baton Exchange: Smoothly passing the baton between runners without dropping it. The outgoing runner extends their hand backward, and the incoming runner takes the baton.
4. Communication: Using clear signals or calls to indicate readiness for the baton exchange.
5. Acceleration: Gradually increasing speed as the incoming runner approaches to maximize momentum during the exchange.
6. Visual Awareness: Maintaining focus on the incoming runner and the baton to ensure a successful exchange.

Relay-race Skills

Important relay skills are a balanced start, acceleration, maintaining lane position, judging the incoming runner, giving a clear call, presenting the receiving hand and transferring the baton without slowing suddenly.
