Officials are individuals responsible for enforcing rules and ensuring fair play in ball games. Different games have specific officials with different duties. Below are the main officials for some popular ball games:

Football
- Referee: The main official who enforces the rules, starts and stops play, and issues penalties.
- Assistant Referees: Help the referee by signaling offsides, fouls, and out-of-play balls.
- Fourth Official: Manages substitutions and assists with game governance.
Table Tennis
- Umpire: Oversees the game, ensures correct scoring, and enforces service rules.
- Assistant Umpire: Supports the umpire in making decisions.
Volleyball
- First Referee: Controls the game from an elevated position, calls fouls, and signals points.
- Second Referee: Stands on the ground, monitors player rotation, and assists the first referee.
- Scorer: Keeps track of scores and player substitutions.
Basketball
- Referee: The main official responsible for rule enforcement.
