Types of Drawing
Drawing can be categorized based on the technique and purpose.These include:
- Sketching: A fast, informal way to draw ideas.
- Line drawing: Uses lines to outline objects.
- Shading: Uses different shades of color to show depth.
- Contour Drawing: Focuses on the outline and form of the subject, emphasizing edges and shapes.
- Gesture Drawing: Captures the essence of a subject’s movement or pose quickly and dynamically.
Painting
Painting uses brushes or tools to apply colors to surfaces like paper or canvas. It lets you express ideas and feelings with colors and shapes, often mixing colors to create different shades.
