Effects Of Eating Contaminated Food
Contaminated food is food that has harmful germs or dirt in it. When we eat such food,it can make us sick or cause othre health problems.
Eating contaminated food can make a person very sick. The following are effects of eating contaminated food:
- Stomach pain
- Vomiting
- Diarrhoea
- Fever
- Weakness
We can stay safe by keeping our food and hands clean.
Effects of Eating Contaminated Food
Food contaminated by harmful microorganisms, chemicals or foreign matter may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever, dehydration or poisoning. Symptoms can begin quickly or after a delay, depending on the contaminant.
A sick child should tell an adult, drink only as advised and receive qualified care. Severe weakness, repeated vomiting, blood in stool, breathing difficulty or signs of dehydration require urgent attention. Do not taste suspected food to test it.
