Meaning Of Contaminated Foods

Contaminated foods are foods that are not safe to eat. These foods contain harmful things like germs, dirt, or chemicals that can make people sick.

Causes of Food Contamination

Food can get contaminated in different ways.the following are:

  1. Dirty hands touching food
  2. Flies landing on food
  3. Using dirty cooking utensils
  4. Storing food in dirty places
  5. Adding harmful chemicals to food
  6. Improper food storage temperatures
  7. Cross-contamination with raw foods

Types of Food Contamination

There are different kinds of contamination. these include:

  1. Germ contamination
  2. Chemical contamination
  3. Physical contamination
  4. Natural contamination
  5. Allergenic contamination
  6. Radiological contamination

Signs of Contaminated Food

Contaminated foods often show signs. The following are:
