Problems Of Weeds To Farmers

Weeds are unwanted plants that grow alongside crops and compete with them for resources like nutrients, sunlight, and water. This means that weeds reduce crop growth and productivity. Below are five major problems of weeds to farmers:

Competition for Resources: weeds compete with crops for nutrients, water, and sunlight, which can stunt crop growth.
Reduced Yield: When weeds grow densely, they reduce the yield of crops significantly.
harboring Pests and Diseases: Some weeds serve as habitats for pests and diseases, which can harm crops.
Increased Cost of Farming: Farmers spend more money on labor and chemicals to control weeds.
