Teacher Guide for Using This Lesson Plan
Before the lesson, ensure your audio-visual equipment (if using) is working and that you have a clear, accurate recording or are prepared to model Surah al-Fatihah yourself. Begin by engaging pupils and setting a positive tone for learning. Follow the step-by-step procedure, dedicating sufficient time to guided repetition for each section of the Surah. Pay close attention to individual pupil’s pronunciation and offer gentle corrections. Encourage active participation from all pupils. Allow pupils to copy the Board Summary notes, specifically the Arabic text of Surah al-Fatihah, into their notebooks during Step 8. Conclude by reinforcing the importance of regular practice.
