أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ (2)

English Meaning of Suratul Fil
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
- Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the people of the Elephant?
- Did He not make their plot go astray?
- And send against them flocks of birds,
- Pelting them with stones of baked clay?
- And make them like devoured stalks of grain?
Brief Explanation
This Surah teaches us about Allah’s immense power and His ability to protect His house and His believers from any harm. Abrahah wanted to destroy the Ka’bah, but Allah sent small birds (Ababil) to throw stones at his army, destroying them and their elephants. This shows that no power can overcome Allah’s will.
