- Baking: Cooking food in an oven using dry heat. Used for breads and cakes.
- Roasting: Cooking food in an oven with oil or fat,often used for meats and vegetables to achieve a browned exterior.
- Poaching: Cooking food gently in liquid, below boiling temperature, ideal for delicate items like eggs and fish.
