Arabic Text and English Translation

1. وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الصَّالِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ كُنَّا طَرَائِقَ قِدَدًا

   Meaning: “And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] less than that. We have been [following] divergent ways.”

2. وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَن لَّن نُّعْجِزَ اللَّهَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَن نُّعْجِزَهُ هَرَبًا

   Meaning: “And indeed, we assumed that we would never be able to escape Allah on earth or escape Him by flight.”

3. وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعْنَا الْهُدَىٰ آمَنَّا بِهِ ۖ فَمَن يُؤْمِن بِرَبِّهِ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخْسًا وَلَا رَهَقًا

   Meaning: “And when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. And whoever believes in his Lord will not fear deprivation or burden.”

4. وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ ۖ فَمَن أَسْلَمَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ تَحَرَّوْا رَشَدًا

   Meaning: “And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah] and among us are the unjust. So whoever has submitted – then it is those who have sought out the right course.”

5. وَأَمَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًا

   Meaning: “But as for the unjust, they will be firewood for Hell.”

2. No creature, whether Jinn or human, can escape the power and knowledge of Allah, on Earth or by flight.
