Lesson Content
What is Music?
Music is a blend of sounds arranged in a pleasing way.It uses rhythm, melody, and harmony. we make music by singing, playing instruments, or both. It’s a way to show our feelings and have fun.
Singing in a Scale of a Natural Key
A musical scale is a set of notes in order. The natural key is a simple scale that makes manny songs. When we sing a scale, our voices go up and down these notes, making a nice sound.
Understanding a Melodic Pattern
A melody is an organised succession of notes. A melodic pattern is a short group of notes that can be repeated, answered or changed to build a tune. Notes may move upward, downward or stay on the same pitch, while rhythm determines their timing.
The teacher can sing a three- or four-note phrase using “la”; pupils echo it and show the direction with hand movements. They should distinguish pitch (how high or low a note sounds) from rhythm (the pattern of long, short and accented sounds).
