FRSC (Federal Road Safety Corps)

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is responsible for traffic management and road safety. Ways to identify them are:

  1. White shirts with red epaulets.
  2. Maroon caps.
  3. Vehicles with FRSC logos.
  4. Reflective vests with FRSC written on them.
  5. Use of traffic cones and stop signs.

Functions of FRSC agents:
The FRSC agents perform several functions to ensure road safety. These include:

  1. Controlling traffic on highways.
  2. Enforcing road safety laws.
  3. Educating people on road safety.
  4. responding to road accidents.
  5. Issuing driver’s licenses.
  6. Conducting vehicle inspections.
  7. Removing obstructions from highways.

VIO (Vehicle Inspection Officers)

Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) ensure vehicles on the road are safe and meet the required standards. Ways to identify them are:

  1. White shirts and black trousers.
  2. Vehicles marked “VIO.”
  3. Carrying inspection tools.
  4. Use of reflective jackets with “VIO” printed.
  5. Identification badges.

Functions of VIO agents:
The VIO agents perform several functions to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.These include:
