People In Need Of Help

People in need are those who do not have the basic things they need to live well. These people may be suffering or struggling because they are poor, sick, or without family. God wants us to notice them and help them with love.

Memory Verse: Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. — Psalm 41:1

How God Expects Us to Help the Needy

God wants us to show love to everyone, especially those in need. The Bible teaches that when we help others, it is as if we are helping God. The following are ways God expects us to help the needy:

Give them food and water
Offer clothes and shelter
Pray for them
Visit and care for the sick and lonely
Share what we have
Show kindness and respect
Support them with encouraging words

Helping others makes God happy and brings blessings. When we help people in need, we show that we have love in our hearts and obey God’s word.
