Lesson Content

Things A Christian Should Not Do

Christians are followers of Jesus. They must behave well and obey God’s commandments. The Bible teaches us how Christians should live and what they should avoid.

Memory Verse: Thou shalt not steal. — Exodus 20:15

Christians are expected to live a holy life. The Bible warns us against some behaviors that displease God. The following are things a Christian should not do:

Tell lies
Steal
Fight
Be rude to parents and elders
Use bad words
Be jealous of others
Worship idols
Be greedy
Kill or hurt others
Disobey God’s commandments

When Christians avoid bad behavior, they make God happy. Obeying God shows that we love Him and want to live like Jesus. It also helps us to live in peace with others and makes people trust us.
