The prophet Isaiah had a vision where he saw the Lord on a throne. He heard God ask, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” Isaiah responded with a willing heart, saying, “Here am I. Send me!” He accepted God’s call to be a messenger to the people of Israel.

Bible Account: The Call of Peter

Jesus was teaching by the Lake of Gennesaret, and the crowd pressed around Him. He saw two boats, and He got into Simon Peter’s boat, asking him to put out a little from the shore. After teaching, Jesus told Peter to go out into deep water and let down his nets for a catch. Peter, who had fished all night and caught nothing, obeyed Jesus’ instruction, even though it seemed unlikely. When they did, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break, and they had to call for help from another boat. Peter was amazed and recognised Jesus’ power, leaving everything to follow Him.
