Revolution

Revolution is the movement of a planet or object around the Sun. Earth takes 365 days to complete one revolution.

Orbit

An orbit is the path a planet or moon follows as it revolves around the Sun. it’s like an imaginary pathway.

Gravity

Gravity is the force that pulls objects together. it keeps planets in orbit around the Sun and makes things fall to Earth. The Sun’s gravity holds the Solar System together.

Examples of Natural Bodies in the Solar System

There are many natural bodies in the solar system. Examples are:

  1. Planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune
  2. Moons: The Moon (Earth’s moon), Phobos and Deimos (Mars’ moons), Titan (Saturn’s moon)
