Meaning of Electric Circuit and Uses of Electricity
An electric circuit is a path through which electricity flows. It helps electricity move from one part to another so things can work.
The following are parts of a simple electric circuit:
- battery
- Wire
- Bulb
- Switch
Uses of Electricity
Electricity helps us do many things at home, school, and work. It makes our lives easier and better.
The following are uses of electricity:
- For lighting homes and classrooms
- for powering fans and air conditioners
- For charging phones and tablets
- For watching television
- For using fridges and freezers
- For cooking with electric stoves
- For operating water pumps
- For powering computers and other electronic devices
- For running industrial machinery in factories
- For providing power to hospitals for life-saving equipment
