Definition and Concept of energy
Energy is the ability to do work. This means that energy is what makes things happen or move. Such as, when you play, your body uses energy to jump, run, or clap.
Concept of Energy:
Energy is a fundamental concept in science.
The following are key concepts related to energy:
- Energy can exist in various forms such as heat, light, sound, electrical, and mechanical energy.
- energy is required to move objects from one place to another.
- Energy can be transformed from one form to another (e.g.,electrical energy to light energy).
- Energy is necessary for living organisms to grow and function.
- Renewable and non-renewable energy sources power human activities.
- Energy is conserved; it cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed.
- Energy is essential for industries to manufacture goods and provide services.
- Energy is vital for transportation, powering vehicles and enabling movement of people and goods.
