What is a Monitor?

A monitor is a display device that shows us images and facts from a computer. It’s like a television screen for your computer.

The Main Features of a monitor

A monitor has several key features that define its functionality and appearance. These include:

The following are the main features of a monitor:

  1. Screen: This is the main part where we see images and text.
  2. Frame: the border around the screen, protecting it.
  3. Buttons: used to change settings like brightness and volume.
  4. Stand: Holds the monitor up for easy viewing.
  5. Power Button: Turns the monitor on and off.
  6. Ports: Connections on the back for connecting to the computer.Examples include HDMI,VGA,and USB ports.
  7. Size: Monitors come in various sizes, typically measured in inches diagonally.
  8. Resolution: The number of pixels on the screen, affecting the clarity of the image. Higher resolution means a sharper image.
  9. Brightness: How radiant the screen is, adjustable for different lighting conditions.
  10. contrast Ratio: the difference between the darkest and brightest parts of the image, affecting the depth of the image.
