- Pointing and Clicking: Use the mouse to point to things on the screen and click to select them. This opens files, programs, or websites. for example, click a link to visit a website or click a file to open it.
- Dragging and Dropping: Use the mouse to move files or objects on the screen.This helps organize things. Such as, drag a file from one folder to another.
- Scrolling: The scroll wheel lets you move up and down on web pages or documents. For example, scroll down a long page to see more.
- Drawing and Painting: The mouse can be used to draw or color pictures on the computer.
- Playing Educational Games: Many games use the mouse. This helps improve hand-eye coordination and learn about technology.
- Selecting Text: Highlight text in documents or web pages by clicking and dragging the mouse over the desired text.
