What are our five senses?

We have five senses that help us explore the world: sight, touch, hearing, smell, and taste. Each sense uses a special body part.

Sense Organs

Sense organs are specialized body parts that enable us to perceive the world around us.

The following are the five sense organs:

Eyes: Our eyes help us see. They detect light and send signals to our brain, showing us colors, shapes, and movement.
Skin: Our skin is our biggest sense organ. It feels pressure, temperature, and pain, letting us know textures, warmth, and cold.
Ears: Our ears help us hear sounds. they collect sound waves and send them to our brain, so we can hear different sounds.
Nose: Our nose helps us smell. It has special parts that detect different scents, like flowers or food.
Tongue: Our tongue helps us taste. It has taste buds that detect sweetness, sourness, saltiness, bitterness, and umami.
