Uses And consequences Of Using Drugs

Drugs are things we take into the body to make us feel better when we are sick. Some people use drugs the right way, but some use them the wrong way, which can be hazardous.

The following are uses of drugs:

To cure sickness
To reduce pain
To prevent diseases
To help us sleep well
To make us feel better when we are ill

Consequences of Using Drugs Wrongly

Using drugs wrongly can cause harm to the body and the brain. It can also lead to problems at home and in school. The following are consequences of using drugs wrongly:

Sickness or more health problems
Weakness or tiredness
Poor performance in school
Fighting or misbehaving
Getting into trouble with the police

Teacher’s Activity: The teacher explains what drugs are and mentions their uses while showing real drug packets and charts.pupils’ Activity: Pupils observe the drug packets and repeat the uses after the teacher

Teacher’s Activity: The teacher tells a story of a child who misused drugs and suffered bad effects, then explains the consequences using pictures.
