Pollution means making the environment dirty and unsafe. It happens when harmful things are added to land,air,or water. It makes the land, air, or water unsafe for people, animals, and plants.

Types of Pollution

There are different ways pollution can happen.
The following are the main types of pollution:

1. Air pollution
2. Water pollution
3. Land pollution
4. Noise pollution
5. Light pollution
6. Thermal pollution
7. Radioactive pollution

Causes of Pollution

Pollution is caused by many things people do.
These include:

1. Smoke from cars and factories
2. Throwing waste into rivers
3. Dumping refuse on the ground
4. Playing loud music or honking too much
5. Agricultural activities such as the use of pesticides and fertilizers
6. Mining activities that release harmful chemicals into the environment
7. Oil spills from tankers and pipelines

Prevention of Pollution

We can stop pollution by doing good things.
They are:

1. Planting trees around our houses
2. Throwing waste in dustbins
3. Not pouring dirty water into gutters
4. Using less plastic and recycling
5. Avoiding noise in public places
6. Using public transportation or carpooling to reduce emissions
