An-Nawawi Hadith 1: Actions are by Intentions

The first Hadith of An-Nawawi states that actions are but by intentions, and every person will have what he intended. This Hadith emphasizes the importance of sincerity in all deeds.

The meaning of An-Nawawi Hadith 1 includes the following:

Every action, whether spiritual or worldly, is judged by the intention behind it.

An-Nawawi Hadith 2: Islam, Iman, Ihsan

The second Hadith of An-Nawawi narrates the story of Angel Jibril asking Prophet Muhammad (SAW) about Islam, Iman, and Ihsan. It defines the core components of these concepts.

The meaning of An-Nawawi Hadith 2 includes the following:
