Gender discrimination means treating people unfairly as they are boys or girls. the following explains what happens when people are not treated equally.

Poor Access to Education: Sometimes girls are not sent to school as of gender beliefs.This stops them from learning and getting good jobs. The following are consequences of poor access to education:

1. Girls grow up without knowledge
2. It leads to more poverty
3. Children marry early
4. Fewer girls become leaders
5. The country does not develop well
6. Reduced opportunities for personal growth and development
7. Limited participation in decision-making processes
8. Increased dependence on others for financial support

Low Self-esteem: When a person is treated unfairly due to gender,they may feel they are not good enough. These include:

1. The person becomes shy
2. They fear to speak in class
3. They doubt themselves
4. They don’t try new things
5. They feel useless
6. Increased anxiety and stress levels
7. Difficulty forming healthy relationships
8. Negative self-perception and body image issues

Violence and Abuse: Gender discrimination can lead to bullying or physical abuse, especially for girls. They are:

1. Forced marriage
2. beating or hitting
3. Verbal abuse
4. Sexual abuse
5. Lack of safety at home or school
6. Emotional trauma and psychological distress
7. Increased risk of physical injury and health problems
