Note for teachers using this lesson plan

This lesson introduces Primary 1 pupils to different types of children’s songs, with a special focus on lullabies (abụ eku nwa). Teachers should prepare by having examples of Igbo children’s songs and lullabies ready to sing or play. Encourage active participation from pupils through singing and movement. By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to identify lullabies and state some of their benefits.
