Lesson Content

The Human Body

The human body is amazing! It has many parts that work together. We will focus on three significant parts: the legs, hands, and nails.

What is the Leg?

The leg is a strong body part that helps us move. It has bones, muscles, and tendons that let us perform various activities.
The following are examples of activities that the leg helps us perform:

  1. Walk
  2. Run
  3. Jump
  4. Kick
  5. Stand

The hand is versatile. It has five fingers for writing, holding things, and more. Our hands are sensitive to textures and temperatures.
Examples of what the hand helps us do include:

  1. Writing
  2. Holding things
  3. drawing
  4. Eating
  5. Clapping

What are Nails?

Nails are hard coverings on fingers and toes. They protect the ends of our fingers and toes from injury. They can be different shapes and sizes.
The importance of nails include:

  1. Protection of fingers and toes
  2. Aiding grip
  3. Enhancing sensation

Lesson Keywords

  • Leg – Body part used for walking and other movements.
  • Hand – Body part used for writing and holding things.
  • Nails – Hard coverings on fingers and toes for protection.

Lesson Evaluation

To evaluate the learning, the teacher asks pupils to:

  1. What part of your body do you use for walking?
  2. what part of your body do you use for writing?
