Meaning Of Unity And National Unity

Unity means coming together as one. National unity means people in a country living and working together in peace no matter their differences.

National Unity

National unity helps a country to grow. It allows people from different tribes and religions to live in peace.These include:

1. Peaceful living in the country
2. Working with others to build the nation
3. Respecting all tribes and cultures
4. Showing love for the country
5. Promoting equality and fairness for all citizens
6. Celebrating Nigeria’s diverse cultural heritage
7. Supporting government initiatives aimed at fostering unity

Unity and National Unity

Unity is people combining effort around shared goals. National unity is cooperation and belonging among citizens and communities despite differences in ethnicity, language, religion, region or opinion.

Unity is strengthened by justice, equal citizenship, dialogue and respect for diversity. It does not mean silence about wrongdoing or compulsory sameness.
