Reason For National Honours Awards: Patriotism & Excellence

Patriotism means showing love and loyalty to your country.A patriotic person cares about their country and is willing to help it grow and improve. For example, someone who protects the country or volunteers during arduous times shows patriotism.

Excellence means doing something vrey well, better than others. It’s about being outstanding in whatever you do. People who excel in their jobs or in helping their communities can be recognized for their contributions by receiving National Honours Awards.

Patriotism, Excellence and National Honours

National honours recognise exceptional lawful service or achievement. Patriotism is responsible love and service to one’s country; excellence is work of unusually high quality. An award may encourage others by showing that valuable service is noticed.

Honours should not replace daily civic duty. Award names, ranks and recipients can change, so examples should be checked against current official records.
