Sports are physical activities that people play for fun, exercise or competition. They help bring people together, no matter their tribe, religion or background.Attributes Of Cooperation: Helping Others And National Unity (Primary 6)There are many kinds of sports people play in Nigeria and other parts of the world.

How Sports Promote Unity

Sports help people come together as one nonetheless of differences.

These include:

Encouraging teamwork
Making people happy together
helping people to forget their differences
Bringing people from different places together
Creating friendship among players and fans
promoting mutual respect
Building national pride

Sports as an Element of Unity

Sports can unite people through shared rules, teamwork, national representation and friendly competition across social groups. Players and supporters may cooperate with people whose language or background differs from theirs.

Sport promotes unity only when discrimination, violence, cheating and hateful speech are rejected. Fair selection and good sportsmanship matter.
