Drugs
Drugs are substances that can affect our bodies. Some drugs, like medicine from a doctor, help us when we are sick. These are helpful drugs. Other drugs, not prescribed by a doctor, can be hazardous. These are harmful drugs and should only be used with the help of a trusted adult. Its vrey meaningful to always ask a grown-up before taking any medicine.
Medicine and Other Drugs
A drug is a substance that changes how the body works. Medicines are drugs prepared to prevent, diagnose or treat illness when used correctly. Other substances may be harmful, illegal or unsafe for children.
Safe use means taking only medicine supplied by a qualified health worker or responsible adult, following the label, using the correct amount and time, and never sharing prescriptions. Pupils must not take an unknown tablet because its colour resembles a familiar medicine.
