Personal clothing refers to the various clothes we wear daily. These clothes protect our bodies,keep us warm,and improve our appearance.

Types of Personal Clothing:

Personal clothing includes a variety of items worn on the body for protection, comfort, and style. They are:

  1. Shirts: These are worn on the upper body.
  2. Trousers: Long pants that cover the lower body.
  3. Pants: Worn as underwear.
  4. Vests: Lightweight clothing worn under shirts.
  5. Scarves: Used around the neck for warmth or fashion.
  6. Wrappers: Conventional fabric worn around the body.
  7. Pyjamas: Sleepwear for comfort at night.
  8. Caps: Head coverings for style or protection.
  9. Footwear: Includes shoes, sandals, or slippers for feet.
  10. Nightgowns: Loose clothing worn at bedtime.
  11. Blouses: A type of shirt, often more formal, worn by women.
  12. Skirts: Garments that hang from the waist down, covering all or part of the legs.
  13. socks: Worn on the feet inside shoes for comfort and hygiene.
  14. Suits: Sets of clothing typically including a jacket and trousers or skirt, worn together.

Care for Personal Clothing:

Proper care ensures that personal clothing remains clean, durable, and presentable. The following are ways to care for personal clothing:

  1. Wash clothes regularly using soap and water.
  2. Dry them on a clothesline or under shade.
  3. Iron clothes to remove wrinkles.
  4. store them neatly in wardrobes or drawers.
  5. avoid overloading the washing machine.
  6. Sort clothes by color before washing to prevent discoloration.
  7. Use appropriate detergents for different types of fabrics.
  8. Check and empty pockets before washing to prevent damage.
  9. Repair tears or loose buttons promptly to extend the life of the garment.
  10. Store seasonal clothing properly to protect them from pests and dust.
