Lesson Content
types of Exercise
There are many types of exercise, but we will focus on two: stretching and jumping jacks.
Stretching
Stretching makes our muscles more flexible and less likely to get hurt. Benefits include increased versatility, improved range of motion, reduced risk of injury, improved posture, and reduced muscle tension.
Jumping Jacks
Jumping jacks get our hearts pumping and bodies moving. benefits include improved cardiovascular health, increased muscle strength, improved coordination, weight management, and stress relief.
How to Exercise Safely
Exercise moves the body and helps the heart, muscles and bones. Stretching, marching, gentle jumping, bending and short runs are examples suitable for a supervised lesson.
Begin slowly, use a clear space, wear suitable clothing, drink water and stop if there is pain, dizziness or difficulty breathing. Pupils should not compete by pushing or copying a movement that is unsafe for them.
