Common I.T Devices – Pager

A pager is a small electronic device used to display short messages. ItS used for sending and receiving messages over short distances. Pagers are portable and handy for swift communication.

Uses of a Pager

A pager is a simple communication device with specific applications. The following are some uses of a pager:

  1. Emergency Services: Pagers are used by emergency personnel like doctors, nurses, and firefighters to get urgent calls and alerts.
  2. Security Personnel: Security guards and others use pagers to receive alerts and instructions.
  3. Businesses: Businesses might use pagers to contact employees who are traveling or in places without good phone service.
  4. Hospitals: Hospitals use pagers to quickly reach on-call staff, ensuring prompt response to patient needs.
  5. Volunteers: Volunteer organizations use pagers to mobilize members during emergencies or community events.
