By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

2. Appreciate the importance of simple tools and methods.

  5. Hoes
  6. Cutlasses
  7. Manual seeders
Textile Production:

Underdeveloped technology in textile production involves simple tools for making cloth and yarn. These include:

Construction Sites:

rural Villages:

Underdeveloped technology in rural villages includes simple systems for water and transport. These include:

  1. Manual water pumps
  2. Bucket and pulley systems
  3. Donkey carts
  4. Wheelbarrows
  5. Wells
  6. Simple irrigation systems
  7. Windmills
Transport:

Underdeveloped technology in transport includes basic methods for moving people and goods. These include:

  1. Hand-pulled rickshaws

  7. Animal-drawn sleds

These tools are practical and don’t need advanced machinery or electricity. They are still used in many parts of the world.
