Some of the major ways farm insects are useful include:

1. Pollination: Bees and butterflies move pollen between flowers, helping plants make seeds and fruit. Many fruits, vegetables, and flowers wouldn’t exist without them.
2. Soil Fertility: Earthworms and beetles break down dead things like leaves and animal waste, adding nutrients to the soil for plants to grow. This is important for healthy soil.
3. Pest Control: Some insects, like ladybugs and praying mantises, eat harmful pests that damage crops.This helps reduce the need for harmful chemicals.
4. Waste Decomposition: Dung beetles break down animal waste, preventing disease and recycling nutrients back into the soil. This keeps the environment clean.
5. Food Source: Insects are food for many animals, like birds and reptiles. They are a part of the food chain.
