Different Levels Of Government

Most countries have three main levels of government:

Local government

This is the closest level to the peopel, including towns and cities. It manages local issues.
Examples are:

Schools
Sanitation
Local law enforcement
Public services
Waste management
Community health centers

Such as, your local council might handle garbage collection and park maintenance.

State or Regional Government

This level oversees larger areas within a country. It handles issues affecting the whole state or region.
These include:

Education
Transportation
Healthcare
Agriculture
State-wide infrastructure

For example, building roads and regulating businesses are state government responsibilities.

Federal Government

This is the highest level, governing the entire country. It’s responsible for national defense, foreign affairs, and monetary policy.
Examples of federal responsibilities are:

National defense
Foreign affairs
Monetary policy
Immigration
interstate commerce

Issuing passports and collecting taxes are federal government tasks.
