One Point Perspective
One point perspective is a type of perspective drawing where all horizontal lines that recede from the viewer converge at a single point on the horizon line called the vanishing point. It is commonly used when objects are directly facing the observer.
The following are the steps involved in drawing a one point perspective:
- Draw the horizon line across the paper.
- Mark the vanishing point (VP) on the horizon line.
- Draw a simple rectangle or square to represent the front view of the object.
- From each corner of the rectangle, draw light lines toward the vanishing point.
- Decide the depth of the object and draw a back line parallel to the front face.
- Erase unnecessary lines to reveal the final perspective drawing.
