Understanding Prophecy

A prophecy is a message from God, usually given through a prophet, that tells about things that will happen in the future. Many years before Jesus was born, God sent prophets to tell people about His coming.

Prophet Isaiah and the Coming of Jesus Christ

Prophet Isaiah was one of the prophets God used to tell people about the birth of Jesus Christ. He told them about Jesus many, many years before Jesus was born. This shows that God had a plan to save us.

Names of Jesus Christ as Prophesied by Prophet Isaiah

Prophet Isaiah gave some special names for Jesus Christ. These names tell us about who Jesus is and what He would do for us. The names are found in Isaiah 9:6:

Mighty God
Everlasting Father
Prince of Peace
