Showing Love And Unselfishness: The Love Between Jonathan And David

Jonathan and David were best friends. They loved and cared for each other. Jonathan was kind, loyal, and protected David from danger.

The Story of Jonathan and David

Jonathan was the son of King Saul, but he became best friends with David. Jonathan loved David so much that he gave him his royal robe, armor, sword, bow, and belt. This was a sign of love and friendship. Jonathan knew David would become king one day and still remained loyal. Even when his father, King Saul, wanted to harm David, Jonathan warned and protected him.

Later, when David was hiding in the desert from King Saul, Jonathan went to visit him. He encouraged David and reminded him of God’s promise that he would be king.
