There are different ways Batik is⁢ made. Each type has a ⁣special design.

Meaning and Distinctive Feature of Batik

Batik is a resist-dyeing process in which wax or another suitable resist is applied to selected fabric areas before dyeing. The resisted lines or shapes remain undyed or take later colours in a planned sequence.

Batik differs from tie-dye mainly in how the resist is applied. Hot wax can burn and is handled by adults under safe conditions.
