Riot as a Result of Bad Leadership:

A riot is a violent disturbance by a group of people due to dissatisfaction.
It often arises from poor governance, such as unfair policies or corruption.
Riots cause destruction, injuries, and loss of life.

Insecurity as a Consequence of Bad Leadership:

Insecurity means a lack of safety and protection in a community.
Poor leadership leads to insecurity when resources are mismanaged, or citizens’ needs are ignored.
it results in fear, theft, and reduced economic activities.

How Bad Leadership Can Cause Insecurity

Bad leadership includes misuse of public money, unfair decisions, refusal to obey the law and failure to provide accountable services. It can weaken trust and allow unemployment, poor services, corruption and unresolved grievances to grow.

Riot is violent public disorder, while peaceful protest is non-violent expression protected within the law. Preventive measures include accountable leadership, fair law enforcement, dialogue, accurate information, youth opportunities and early peaceful resolution of complaints.
