THE ATTRIBUTES OF ALLAH (11-20)

Reading and Meaning of Attributes 11-20

The attributes of Allah (Asmaul Husna) are His beautiful names and characteristics that describe His perfection and power. Understanding these attributes helps us to know Allah better and strengthen our faith. Here are attributes 11-20:

1. Al-Khaliq (الخالق) – The Creator. He is the one who creates all things from nothing.
2. Al-Bari’ (البارئ) – The Evolver, The Maker. He is the one who creates and fashions things perfectly.
3. Al-Musawwir (المصور) – The Fashioner, The Shaper. He is the one who gives everything its unique form and shape.
4. Al-Ghaffar (الغفار) – The Forgiver, The Pardoner. He is the one who forgives sins repeatedly.
5. Al-Qahhar (القهار) – The Subduer, The Irresistible. He is the one who has absolute power over all things and compels them to His will.
6. Al-Wahhab (الوهاب) – The Bestower. He is the one who gives gifts and blessings freely and generously.
7. Ar-Razzaq (الرزاق) – The Provider, The Sustainer. He is the one who provides sustenance for all His creation.
8. Al-Fattah (الفتاح) – The Opener, The Granter of Success. He is the one who opens the doors of mercy and sustenance, and grants victory.
9. Al-‘Alim (العليم) – The All-Knowing, The Omniscient. He is the one who knows everything, past, present, and future.
10. Al-Qabid (القابض) – The Withholder, The Restrainer. He is the one who restricts and withholds sustenance or mercy from whomever He wills.
