What is Leadership?

Leadership is guiding and helping others to work together and do the right thing.

A leader encourages and motivates others to achieve their best. A leader also helps people to make good choices and make decisions.

Examples are:

Teachers leading students.
Parents leading families.
Community leaders making decisions for the neighborhood.
Religious leaders guiding their congregations.
Youth leaders organizing activities for young people.

Types of Leaders

There are different types of leaders, these include:

Community Leaders: These leaders help people in their town or village and help solve problems. Examples are a local government chairman or a community head.
School Leaders: These leaders work in schools. Teachers and the head teacher guide pupils and help the school run well.
Family Leaders: Parents are leaders at home. They guide the family and make decisions to keep everyone safe and happy.
Religious Leaders: These leaders guide people in places of worship. Examples are pastors and imams.
Traditional Leaders: These leaders guide their communities using customs and traditions. Examples are chiefs and village heads.
